Hong Kong 25-29 March 2010 [Day 2]

Our main itinerary for day two was the Big Buddha at Po Lin Monastery which is located on Ngong Ping Plateau, on Lantau Island, Hong Kong.

after breakfast... we took a train (which is called MTR over there) to Tung Chung MTR Station.

when we arrived at Tung Chung, there's a shopping mall called CityGate Outlets which has many outlet stores... probably u can get some cheap stuffs there.

And from there we took a cable car up the Ngong Ping plateau... it was about a 5.7 km ride... which is quite long... and our cable car cabin was Crystal cabin which the base of the cable car was transparent so that u can see everything below you clearly... but of course u have to pay a little more and u can save yourself from the long queue and waiting time.

U may check out the Cable Car information Here!

we're above the sea... :)
its rather thrilling at first...

we're hanging up the mountain~!

on da cable car...

some scenes of Hong Kong...

and now we're above the vegetation...

if u wanna walk up to the Ngong Ping u can follow this trail...
i really saw some ppl walking and/or running up. haha

here's a glimpse of the Hong Kong Int. Airport...
and i caught the "Ang Moh" smiling happily. :)

and here... we saw the Buddha...

getting closer...

Here's our Crystal Cabin!

when u come out of the cable car station... there's a Ngong Ping village which has many things... like eating place and Starbucks! haha...

walking up the long flight of stairs to the Buddha...

nice scenery ...

its time to walk down...

we had vegetarian food for our lunch... it was cheap n great! :)

some jumping shots...
we actually took quite a number of jumping shots photos and we enjoyed it! haha

the cars over there...
n just nice the BMW Z4 drove in and parked in front of the Audi.
i realised that the backlight of this Audi A4 there is quite different from those i saw in Singapore.

Mongkok is like our station... and our area... cos our hotel is at Mongkok!
Its very convenient with Ladies Street and Argyle Centre nearby.

Hong Kong Streets!

while the girls were shopping... kelvin and i have nothing much to do... and i asked him to take a picture of me with the police van. i took this picture because sometimes i see their police cars or vans on TV. haha...
